Rat's style is loose and flowy, but he needed a dependable grip that he could fit and forget. Engineering brains and bro science split the atom to create our new hybrid core. This gave all the push on 'feels' but with the rock-solid dependability of a traditional lock on. A huge tapered cut away window on top of the grip, under your 3 outside knuckles, removes the plastic core that can be harsh, and adds rubber all the way to the bar.

We tested various patterns, but we kept coming back to horizontal lines for the soft and consistent feel they give to the palm. Underneath is an alternate half height part of the pattern. This small but critical section covers the area where all the extra pop comes from. A low-profile flange is designed to stay out of the way of your levers and be a good point of reference if you need it.

o make the feel even softer we also added a smaller 'pinky' window under the grip for your ring and little finger to get a bit more purchase for when you need to hold on tight. This bit is critical to deliver the all-over 'push on' feel we were trying to achieve.

The 2nd part of the brief was to make a pattern that is extra supple and pillowy but when you grab hold of it you get the perfect amount of squidge purchase to give the bar that extra tug. It may be for jumping the hardline road gap or unlocking something in your local woods. It's there when you need it.

We focus on keeping our product prices as low as possible rather than building shipping costs into the price and then offering "free" shipping on everything. These fees are not about making money but simply recouping the shipping costs particularly for larger items.

NZ Islands Courier Charges:

If you order with us and live on a NZ Island like Waiheke and Great Barrier etc our customer care team will contact you immediately to discuss freight charges/options.

We focus on keeping our product prices as low as possible rather than building shipping costs into the price and then offering "free" shipping on everything. We therefore pay the courier fees ourselves however the fees to the Island communities have become so exorbitant we can't cover all of those costs and will discuss options.

Bulky Items:

Additional charges may also apply to bulky order that measure outside the normal courier package parameters. Our friendly customer care team will contact you right away if this is the case.

Processing Times:

All orders are processed during weekday business hours (9 am – 5 pm Monday to Friday.) Orders made on weekends and public holidays will be processed the next business day.

While we try to have most products in our store and warehouse at all times if the product is not in stock we will order from our New Zealand-based suppliers. We will contact you to advise you of this and inform you of any delivery delays.

Track and trace:

We work with multiple couriers for delivery, including NZ Post NZ Couriers, and Post Haste. Once your package has left our building and been scanned on board by the courier you will receive an automated email from us with your track and trace details so you can follow its progress.

Please note: queries for missing/lost items must be completed within 14 days of despatch and queries for damaged items within 7 days of delivery. If you do not lodge a query with us within these time frames, we will be unable to make a claim with our courier.
